Usually I start out each post with, "amazing, beautiful, wicked cool etc." but at this point, I am really sick of bus tours. I'm done with waking up early, sitting on a crammed bus, and listening to the driver go on and on. Luckily, this was probably the last major tourist trap I'll have to do. From here on out, it'll be exploring Ireland on my own and finding my own cool stuff. That being said:
The Aran Islands were very pretty, but very similar to the rest of Ireland. We went to Inishmore (the largest) and there are two others, Inishmaan (second largest) and Inisheer (the smallest).
Some castle thing we hiked up to
The view from that castle thing overlooking the island. About 840 people live on it.
Out tour guide said she's dove off these cliffs before (they aren't as
high as the Cliffs of Moher) and was telling me I should come
back and give it a try.
The "Worm Hole"
The "Worm Hole" Red Bull has a diving competition, you can see where people dive off in the picture above. |
On the ferry ride home, a coast guard chopper
pulled up to our ferry and did a drill, it was
really cool
