Paris

After I downloaded all 1,337 pictures onto my computer...I erased the folder, and had go through them all again.  But I finally got them back, and could post them.  Anyways: Paris was great! That being said, it wasn't my favorite city.  I think I had my expectations set too high; not that I didn't enjoy it, it just didn't strike me as anything amazing.  But the food was great. I literally ate 3 euro crepes and 50 cent croissants for 5 days.

As for the whole "the French don't like Americans" stereotype that I was warned about, there is a little truth to be told.  For example, one night we all went out to dinner and the waiter brought the bill out right after the appetizers came out.  Another waiter saw it and apologized saying that he was "racist against Americans, and was the owner's friend and that's the only reason he was still around."  So that was kind of strange.  Luckily there were some nice people too.  A different waitress we had explained the entire menu, which was written in French, to us in English and was very patient.

My hostel wasn't too bad.  I stayed in a room of 10 people but was really only there to sleep.  It was in the Latin Quarter, which was awesome because it seemed to be where most of the nightlife was, and had cheap places to shop too.

I flew in by myself, but met Sam there who was about a half hour subway ride away.  We explored Paris and saw the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Lock Bridge, Palace of Versailles, went in the Louvre Museum, and went out to eat.  We had a blast!  I divided it up into sections again, so check out the links below
